I started at the Space Needle in 2018 in the middle of a $100 million renovation project. It was so exciting to be a part of it and literally see Olson Kundig’s vision come to life everyday as construction happened nonstop around-the-clock for over a year.
When I joined the marketing team, they were in the middle of a rebrand. The goal was to update the look and feel to match the new onsite experience. I was able to jump in and design a new wordmark that connected to the new features of the building, while also supporting the brand as it moves into the future.
The icon (the gold circle with the figure of the Space Needle in it) had been refined by a previous agency the marketing team was working with at the time.
